Why did thereisnoagency-bot visit your website?
Because someone typed your website's address into one of our free tools — a cookie check or an SEO scan. A person starts every visit — the robot doesn't crawl the web on its own.
What does it do on your site?
For a cookie check it opens the page that was typed and one more page of the same site, three times at once: once without touching the cookie banner, once clicking “Accept”, once clicking “Reject”. For a website SEO scan it also follows your own links, page by page, up to 200 pages or four minutes — reading the HTML only, no images, no fonts, no scripts. It never fills in forms, adds to cart or logs in.
Will it change your analytics or ad numbers?
No. The tracking messages it recognises — Google, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft and many others — are caught and answered with a fake “OK”, so they never land in your reports.
How often does it come?
Each website gets at most one cookie check every 3 days and at most one website SEO scan a day. If someone asks again sooner, they get the last report and the robot doesn’t come. (A check that couldn’t finish doesn’t count.)
How do you recognise it?
For a cookie check it uses a normal Chrome browser, and its user agent ends with: thereisnoagency-bot (+https://thereisnoagency.com/bot/). For an SEO scan it reads the pages’ HTML without a browser (only a page that shows nothing without JavaScript is opened in one, five at most), and that line is its whole user agent. Either way it comes from our server in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Does it follow robots.txt?
Yes. Anything you block, it does not read, and it keeps any gap between requests you ask for (Crawl-delay). For the Cookie Scanner it only opens what a person asked for. For a website SEO scan it follows your own links the way a crawler does, inside those rules.
